Network deployment standards
The design rules and deployment process we follow for every office, warehouse and remote-site network we build.
Standardized edge
Firewalls, routers and SD-WAN appliances are deployed from templated configurations and maintained under change control.
Structured cabling
Switch layouts, VLANs and PoE budgets are planned up front, so growth and new devices are easy to support.
Wireless design
Wi-Fi is designed for both coverage and capacity, with separate, secured networks for staff, business devices and guests.
Security and segmentation
The same standards apply at every site, so security is predictable and enforceable.
- Segmented VLANs for users, servers, IoT devices and guests
- Least-privilege firewall rules and geographic controls
- VPN access for remote workers and vendors
- Centralized logging and alerting on key events
Standard designs and core services
Reference designs cover small offices, multi-site environments and remote workers. DNS, DHCP and identity services are deployed to avoid single points of failure and misconfiguration.
Change management
Changes happen in documented windows, with rollback plans and versioned configurations.
Deployment process
- Discovery and requirements gathering
- Design diagrams and IP addressing plans
- Hardware staging and configuration
- Cutover, validation and tuning
- As-built documentation and onboarding into monitoring
