Email security

How we protect the mailboxes we manage, and what we ask of every user to keep accounts secure.

Technical controls

We apply current controls across your email platform to reduce the risk of phishing and account compromise.

  • SPF, DKIM and DMARC configuration and monitoring
  • Spam, malware and phishing detection policies
  • External sender tagging and attachment controls
  • Sign-in risk and location-based alerts
  • Quarantine and review policies that keep legitimate mail flowing

Multi-factor authentication

MFA is enforced on managed mailboxes wherever the platform supports it. We set clear rules for enrolling, trusting devices, and what to do if a phone or security key is lost or compromised.

Everyday expectations for users

  • Never approve an MFA prompt you did not start.
  • Never send passwords or sensitive data in plain email.
  • Verify any banking or payment change by phone, using a number you already have.
  • Be suspicious of urgency, unusual requests and unexpected attachments.
  • Report suspicious messages instead of deleting them.

Reporting suspicious email

Forward suspicious messages to support@gntsecurity.com or open a request in the client portal. If you clicked a link or entered a password, call us right away at (510) 469-0947. We will review the message, remove similar messages if needed, and tell you what we found.
